Cave del Predil, a hamlet near Tarvisio in Friuli Venezia Giulia, has a rich mining history dating back to Roman times. This village, formerly known as Raibl, became one of the most important mining centers in Europe, particularly for its lead and zinc mines. Mining activities ceased in 1991, but the legacy of this period lives on through the Museum of Mining Tradition and the Geomining International Park.
