Museum of Matajur | Masseris

The collection highlights everyday aspects of life on the slopes of Mount Matajur.
In the Gorcova house in Masseris, among other items, two gerle (back baskets) are preserved; they were used for peddling goods “from Venetian Schiavonia to Hungary” and beyond.
The photo shows the passport of Massera Valentino, issued in Vienna in 1872.

Prior registration is required for museum visits.
