The water mill, built in 1821, represents a valuable example of traditional architecture in the valleys. Entirely built with local materials, such as wood and stone, it perfectly embodies the harmony between man and the surrounding environment. To reach it, you walk along an enchanting path starting from Ponteacco, following the winding course of the Natisone River. A short distance away lies the famous archaeological site of the “Biarzo Shelter,” one of the most significant in the entire northeastern alpine basin, a testimony to ancient civilizations that once inhabited these lands.
