The chapel is located just a few hundred meters from the Slovenian border and was built in the early 15th century. Following the earthquake of 1511, it was restored and enhanced with the addition of a polygonal choir in the Slovenian style, whose ribbed vault is supported by brackets depicting prophets and sibyls. The main keystones are adorned with figures of praying angels, the Virgin with Child, and saints Barbara, Catherine, Bartholomew, Philip, Andrew, and Stephen.
The church was once adorned with fine wooden altars from the 16th and 17th centuries, of which only a few statues remain today, unfortunately poorly repainted. Worth noting is a beautiful 17th-century holy water font, which stands out as one of the most significant preserved elements.
